This is a great session. We concentrate on the basics of wrestling while we cover a series of techniques. Being fundamentally sound is very important. This session is great for beginners as well. Depending on our numbers, we may add a session. Thursdays will be always live wrestling. Wednesday will be hard drilling and if we add a session, wrestlers will have a choice of either working out on Monday or Tuesday.

We are planning a program geared for any wrestler interested in Freestyle and Greco wrestling. We are planning to have a great staff.with Coach Weis, Hravard University

Here in this session the Wadsworth Staff will be concentrating on wrestling in the neutral position.

Elementary School Wrestling (Grades 1 - 4)

Wadsworth will be hosting an in house Elementary School Wrestling League. The League will meet twice a week; one night for instruction and the other for applying the skills in a competitive format. The practices will run on Monday nights for one hour and the meets will be held on Thursday nights. Wadsworth will be putting together the teams and providing the Coaches. On competiton nights, wrestlers will compete on full mats with an official. Here are some Details : Registration Nights, November 1st, 2nd and 3rd 6:00PM to 8:00PM. Start Date; Novemebr 15th. Tentative Schedule; This session will run for 8 weeks with a 2 week break in between for the Holidays. Included; are the practices, scrimmages, official league meets and tournaments. Frist Week (November 15th), First Scrimmage (Dcember 9th) and First Meet (January 6th). Registration Fee; $195.00 (includes a team t-shirt)

 Introduction to Elementary Wrestling

Looking to see if your child would be interested in wrestling. Wadsworth will be offering a beginers program for wrestlers in grades 1 - 4. Thhis program will run for 6 weeks,  2 nights a week (Monday and Thursday) starting at 6:00PM. These workouts will last for 50 minutes. After the six weeks, wrestlers can decide whether to join our elementary league. The cost of this intro program is $135.00. Registration will be held at Wadsworth September 13, 14 and 15 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. The first night will be September 20th, 6:00PM.

 

Middle School Wrestling Team and Friday Night Fights (Grades 5-8)

Wadsworth will be entering a Team(s) into the in House Middle School Wrestling League "Friday Night Fights". Wrestlers will practice 2 nights a week (Monday and Wednesday) and compete on Fridays. Inluded are; structured practices, league competition, scrimmages and tournaments. This league is for wrestlers in grades 5 - 8. This will be a 10 week program with a 2 week break in between for the Holidays and will start up on November 16th. The Registration Fee is $225.00. Registration Nighst are; November 1st, 2nd and 3rd from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.    Wadsworth will have 2 outstanding Coaches running this program Both are ex-Franklin High Standouts; Joe McGann and Gus Mancini. Both coaches were State Champs for Franklin, Joe a 4 X state winner, a F.S. All American and a National Prep Champ at Blair Acc. Both coaches wrestled in college.
